New year huh? Well that went fast.
Haven't really touched any art at all since my last journal entry. My mind has been completely focused on my story 99% of the time, and it still is. I've doubled the word count to a total of 137.000 lovely words, filling 290 pages and spanning across 49 shorter chapters due to a bit och back'n'forth hopping between characters and places. But the story is not done yet, though it is slowly getting towards the end... of part one
So, what have you guys been up to?

So I missed new year by a couple of months, big whoop! :)
Anyways, still writing on that story that's seemingly all over the place. A once simple idea has turned into a literal spider web of characters and plots. Why? Because I'm apparently not putting anything into my story without proper reason.
I'm currently at a point in the story that I thought I'd be at years ago. And dare I say it is the end stretch? Even more mindboggling is that the story takes place over a couple of days/weeks and yet it feels like years because I've been writing for so long!

I scoff and sigh at myself. Where does time go I wonder. And why am I not done yet?
This part of the story I'm writing now has grown way out of proportion and I'm just tagging along to se where it goes. While extremely long and tedious to write at moments, the end of this "chapter" is finally closing in. Amazing how a part of a story can evolve from something meant to be a small hint to a major plot. At this point it is two stories in one happening simultaneously. I'm just hoping I can manage to keep it all coherent with all the twists and turns happening. I might be shooting myself in the foot repeatedly, but we'll see :)

Never ending story
Well, another year has passed.
I'm still working on that story you barely know anything about. 184790 words and 383 pages and counting. Been stuck on the latest chapter forever which alone is nearly 25000 words so far. Might have to split it up at some point.
Anyways, here is a little something about the story if you're interested:
So far there has been a lot of foundation building and mystery building concerning not only Equestria and the world before, but also an alternate dimension where malevolent monsters dwell. Right here. Perhaps a little more to the left. No no, that is too much, back up a bit. Yes, right there!
But seriously, "art" has not been on my priority list for some time as you may have noticed. Art-wise, I have only been fiddling with characters relating to the story I have been working on during this past year. And even that has not been much.
My focus has instead been on getting said story out of my head. Progress is still slow, seeing as I am no professional writer nor a native English speaker (as mentioned in the last journal), but at least there is progress! 65.000 words so far, translating to around 100-1
